10 Things I wish I was Told in School

10 Things I wish I was Told in School Im 27. I do not think about the past and do not regret it too much. But sometimes I would like to have learned a little more of other things. Things I have learned over the past years. It would be great to have self-development lessons in courses at school. But I still think it would be nice to highlight a few hours of all these activities on some German lessons in self-development. Perhaps only one hour a week in high school. This could be useful for many students and on a larger scale for our whole society. So here are 10 things that I would have liked to learn more about in school (or just known about). 1) Rule 80-20 or the Pareto principle. 80 % of all income received bring only 20% of your activities. From this we can conclude that much of what we do doesnt really bear income and therefore is not necessary. So many things you do,might  not so useful, or even not as important as it might have seemed to be. You can just throw engaged or severely cut back on the time you spend on a huge variety of activities. And if you do, you will have more time and energy on what really brings results, happiness, satisfaction, and so on. 2) Rule of Parkinson. You can do things a lot faster than you realize. So the more time you give yourself to for any job, the more time it will take in the end. You can move faster than you think. This law states that work expands in volume and apparent complexity to fill all her allotted time. For example, if you promise yourself to find a solution in a week, it would seem that the problem becomes more complicated, and you will spend more and more time trying to come to a decision.  So focus your time on finding solutions. Give yourself one hour (instead of the whole day) or the day (instead of the whole week ) to address the problem. This will cause your brain to focus on finding solutions and actions. The result may not be as perfect as if you spent a week on the task , but ,as mentioned in the preceding paragraph, it is still 80 % of the results obtained from 20 % of the effort. You can also come to a better solution, because you do not overdo it. This law will help you do the job faster, improve your concentration and ability to provide you with more free time in which you can concentrate fully on what you need to do. And in your subconscious you will not have outstanding work sticking out, causing stress. 3) The group operation. This is a method of performing boring and monotonous tasks as quickly as possible. A good way to do it quickly group tasks. That is, you make them all one after another. You can deal with them quickly, because you will have less time acceleration than if you have them stretched out. And when you group, you are more involved in the work and more focused. 4) Give first and then get. Give first and then receive. Life is not like a restaurant where you pay for the food only after it is received. In life, to achieve something, you must first pay for it. If you want to maximize what you get (money, love, kindness, opportunities etc.), you have to increase what you give. Because in the future, you very often get exactly what give. Maybe it would be nice to get something for nothing. But this rarely happens. 5) Do not brake run ahead! so you first get rid of expectations, and secondly it will give you pleasure, because you will get the feeling that you have the power to control your life. 6) Errors and failures it is good. Its good. Thanks to errors you gain experience, learn new things and learn how to avoid such mistakes in the future. Handled properly, the errors can teach you to be a successful person. When your having negative experience, ask yourself: what an opportunity it gives me? What could be useful for me in this situation in the future? One negative experience over time can help you to get a set of a very positive experiences. Negative experiences, mistakes and failures can sometimes be even more useful to success, because they teach you something completely new, what would you would never have been taught by another successful experience. 7) Use the reticulation  activating system (RAS) Use the reticulation activating system (RAS). RAS is a focusing system. To use it, you need to focus on what you want and keep the attention. 8)Your attitude determines reality Most pessimists consider themselves realists. However, in reality, the reason that bad things happen with them, is because of their reticular activating system constantly tuned to the perception of negativity. That is why they find confirmation of their pessimistic ideas. In any case to be an optimist is much better than the realist. Think about it. 9)  In order to feel happy, you need to be grateful. In order to feel happy, you need to be grateful. The fact is that only in a few minutes when you feel gratitude, you can turn a bad mood into a good one. In this regard, each person will be useful to practice being grateful. This tool will also help you maintain a positive attitude towards  reality and thus directly linked with the preceding paragraph. 10) From 80 to 90% of what you fear will never happen. From 80 to 90% of what you fear will never happen. In fact, our fears are greatly exaggerated. In most cases, anxiety its a waste of time. Of course, its easy to say. But if you remind yourself how little of what you feared in your life, has happened in reality, you can begin to worry less and less.

What to Include in Your Internship Thank You Note

What to Include in Your Internship Thank You Note Photo Via: Pixabay.com 1. Explicitly state your appreciation While it’s implied that your thank you letter is intended to show your appreciation, explicitly stating the level to which you appreciate the opportunity is essential. While you don’t want to appear as if you’re pandering, you also don’t want to undersell what the internship means to you. Sincerity is the key here, so be as honest as possible and really show and tell your employer what this opportunity meant to you. 2. Provide anecdotes The best thank you letters have a personal component that set them apart from the others. Whether this is a personal story of your first day, a quick mention of what you’ve been able to take away from this opportunity or a full-blown confession regarding what it was like to work at the company you interned with, the more personal (but professional) you’re able to make your note, the better. Again, you don’t want to appear as if you’re pandering, but you do want to give your letter that personal touch to show that you wrote it and put thought and time into doing so. 3. Be specific You want your letter to demonstrate the amount of time and effort you put into it. For this reason, it’s important that you’re specific in your writing. Don’t simply say “I appreciate the opportunity,” but rather, explain why you are. What specifically are you taking away from this internship? What did you appreciate the most? Really reflect on your experience and use your interactions and responsibilities to guide your writing so it’s clear you’ve put thought into your responses. 4. Be reflective That brings me to the next point: reflect on your experiences, good and bad. This sounds counterproductive, but a thank you letter should also demonstrate room for improvement from your perspective, sort of like an exit interview. While you don’t want to bash the company by any means, you should include any missed opportunities as well as why you think they would be helpful for future applicants. You should also round out this section by including the good experiences so it’s apparent that things were done correctly as well. This will create a well-rounded section that comes across as constructive. 5. Leave the door open You want to include a short sentence or two in your letter as well to leave the door open for future opportunities. For example, you could say something along the lines of, “I look forward to staying in touch and potentially working together again in the future.” The above statement is short, sweet and to the point and doesn’t come across as greedy or assumptive. The truth is, you may not get another opportunity with this organization, so you don’t want to come right out and ask for that opportunity. Simply leave the door open, letting them know you would be interested should the opportunity present itself, and end it there. 6. Avoid asking for more Along these same lines, it’s very important that you avoid using a thank you letter to leverage future opportunities. Again, this sounds counterproductive, but it’s much more effective if you don’t do so. If you write a thank you letter in asking for a new position, you are diminishing the purpose. The thank you letter is meant to summarize your appreciation and, in a sentence or less, let the organization know you would be available in future if needed. Again, an internship can make or break your job search down the road, so leaving on good terms is essential. Providing the employer with a thank you note upon your dismissal can leave the door open for future opportunities in a variety of ways. For that reason, it is absolutely important that you take your time in composing your thank you letter and consider all angles of its importance. Don’t simply throw something together at the last minute; take your time, show your true colors and make sure your appreciation is apparent throughout. With these six components in mind, this should be no problem!

Ways To Get Help With Your Chemistry Class

Ways To Get Help With Your Chemistry ClassThere are several reasons why a student in the B.A. Chemistry class should be concerned about the homework, and what should be expected of the student. If the student is unsure about how the course will work out for them, they should get some guidance from a B.A. Chemistry professor.A B.A. Chemistry professor should be able to provide the student with a few things they can work on that are different from those that are common in other chemistry classes. The student should be able to discuss these things with their professor. These differences may have implications on how the student thinks of the course. One student might think that the assignment is to make a discovery and the other student might be more interested in the preparation for a research project.Another student might need more time to complete the homework than the one assigned for other classes. They might need more time because they are not sure if they are going to be successfu l in the class, or they might need the extra time because they need to work with the resources that are available in the classroom. The course will also be determined by what the instructor expects. Some instructors expect students to finish the entire assignment, while others only require students to do a small portion of the homework. Some students like to study independently. Others will need a professor to be there to guide them through each step of the course.Any teacher can help a student who is uncertain about what should be expected from them, but they can only do so much. They will need guidance to make sure that the student is having success with the class. The most important thing that a teacher can do is to make sure that the student knows what they need to do and how they will do it. This is what the course is all about - making sure that the student has a good education. When a student is having problems with the course, the student should talk to their professor. The pro fessor will be able to help them understand how they will be succeeding at the class. If they find that the course does not suit their needs, they can go to the student's advisor to get more information.

Piano Playing 101 Music Genres

Piano Playing 101 Music Genres What music genres can pianists play? ChaptersWhy can you play (almost) everything on the piano? What are the iconic music styles on the piano? What music styles are less piano “worthy”So can you play everything on the piano?Le piano is a universal (and magic) instrument. We say this because the piano is everywhere, and is played and appreciated all over the world. In addition, almost all the songs in the global repertoire of music â€" no matter the genre, origins or sound â€" can be transcribed for the piano! But we have to ask the following question: in today’s digital age of the Internet and music 2.0,  can we still adapt all music styles to the piano? Read on and you’ll see that the question is not as simple as you think …You know the music we’re talking about, the kind you just can’t imagine being played on the piano. But you have to know one thing. Most rappers and RB singers are music lovers, with a wide knowledge of music and music culture. They often share and use the same musical references to create t heir own original sounds as musicians of other genres. Is jazz piano your thing, à la McCoy Tyner? Well rap comes from jazz...Also, one common root of rap and RB is jazz. Jazz piano is almost as established in music conservatories as classical piano is. If you are a fan of improvisation in music, this is the style for you!So, contrary to what you might have thought, the piano is definitely not incompatible to rap and RB. You can play piano and rap if you like!Electro: does it have melody or is it only noise? When it appeared in the 1970s, electronic music was considered by some to be “anti-music,” practiced by “non-musicians” who were more comfortable on a computer than a real instrument. And yet…Today it’s completely possible to adapt a piece of electronic music to the piano. You can play songs in electro music on the piano! You should note that a piece of electro music possesses the same musical structure as that of classical. Piano notes are so versatile… Do you know how to read sheet music? Learn to read it now to understand the different between the middle C and quarter notes!DJs often compose their music on the piano! So it is a “piano worthy” music style! In fact, most DJs do compose their music with real or virtual piano keyboards (like David Guetta for one).Marginal music styles: are they the exception for pianos? There are musical styles that are not adaptable to piano playing. And with reason! These genres are more about noise, and that incessant “boom-boom,” than music. And “boom-boom” on the piano just doesn’t work very well…We’re talking about genres like hard-tech, trans, and minimal techno, among others. These are very difficult for pianists to adapt piano music or a scale to (in contrast to house music).Even with all the determination and desire in the world, solid piano training and advanced knowledge of sight reading, major scales, piano pieces, and whatever else you can do, it is simply impossible. So can you pla y everything on the piano? As with every good experiment, there is an exception that confirms the rule! So to the question, “can one learn to play all musical styles on the piano,” the answer is no. But we really had to look hard to find styles that are almost impossible to play on the keyboard. We can confidently say that musicians can explore 90% or even 95% of the global musical universe on the piano. And as we were researching, we realized that the piano is a hugely rich instrument to learn to play. There are so many benefits for learning how to play the piano. Jazz piano, classical piano, variety, rock, tango… different styles affect the content of one’s piano instruction. And no matter the music genre or level, you’ll need to practice playing your piano in order to become more advanced. It’s better to work intensely for 30 minutes at your keyboard rather than one hour without concentrating. And to achieve optimal concentration, organize work sessions of at least 30 mi nutes. This is the minimum to have you’ll need to soak up what you are working on, whether it’s an octave, arpeggio, chord progression or a concerto! From private lessons to the conservatory, online piano courses to piano training in a music school, the choice for education is vast. This is especially true in today’s digital age, where it’s easy to find tutorials and free online classes to learn to play the piano. We at Superprof think it’s a fantastic idea to enroll in beginner piano lessons to play correctly. The piano teacher is also there to answer students’ questions, about doubts, lack of motivation, or anything! He or she should be teaching all aspects of piano playing, including:Posture work to learn proper postureSolfège training, how to read piano notesPracticing songs on a piano keyboardPiano scales, chord progressions, octaves and arpeggiosReading music and music theorySoon you’ll figure out what to do with your left hand on those piano keys. After your pian o lesson, you’ll be able to achieve your music dreams, whether you want to play like Mozart or Little Richard!

Learn How to Sing with Voice Lessons 6 New-Student FAQs

Learn How to Sing with Voice Lessons 6 New-Student FAQs Suzy S. Thinking about taking voice lessons? Getting that one-on-one guidance is key when you want to learn how to sing. Here, Saint Augustine, FL teacher Heather L.  discusses some of the FAQs she has received, to help you get started: Ive taught piano and voice lessons for the past 11 years. Over that time, many different questions, from parents,  colleagues, and students themselves,  have come my way. If youre thinking about starting voice lessons yourself, or if you have a child whos asking for lessons, then you probably have some yourself. Heres the list of questions that I get asked most as a voice teacher: Q: What ages are appropriate to start voice lessons? A: It varies from instructor to instructor, but some are willing to begin lessons teaching voice health and basic music fundamentals, like solfege syllables and note reading, at age four. And barring a voice injury or recent nerve damage, no one is too old to start! Q: What kind of things should my child bring to their first voice lesson? A: Most instructors find things like crayons (for children), staff paper, and sometimes an iPod or CD with the students favorite songs useful for the beginning lessons. A music stand is helpful, but not necessary, and songbooks and sheet music will be decided upon as the lessons progress. Q: How much practice time does a voice student need to devote to his studies? A: At the professional level, singers typically practice one hour each day, six days per week. Children should sing the songs on which theyre currently working about fifteen minutes per day. Adolescents and non-professional adults should take 30 minutes each day, six days per week, to devote to their technique and repertoire. As the student begins his or her first few months of voice study, however, endurance and stamina must be built slowly, just as an athlete slowly builds his or hers. A good voice instructor will listen at each lesson to any abnormal strain or injury in the students voice and adjust practice schedules accordingly. Q: Can you really teach anybody to learn how to sing? A: Yes! If you have a speaking voice, then you have a singing voice. That does not mean, though, that you have a huge range or a powerful sound. You might, you might not. But you can sing. And voice lessons are the first step to unveiling your true voice, and what you can ultimately achieve. Q: What should I look for in a voice instructor? A: First, listen! If a potential instructor has an unusual amount of roughness in her speaking voice, then she may not know and practice healthy voice habits. Second, a degree from a great institution or a decade of teaching experience are great, but more important is a positive and encouraging attitude. Voice lessons can be challenging enough without an instructor whos not kind and patient. Q:   What if I (or my child) begin to lose interest in the lessons or in practicing? A:   If a student has given his instructor two months of solid attention and work, and he still finds the lessons to be a chore, then try a different teacher. It could simply be a personality clash. If the student still doesnt enjoy himself, then take a break and try again in six months. As you learn how to sing, remember that voice lessons can sometimes take courage to dive into. And sometimes, they can be tough, both emotionally and physically. But with the right instructor, the right preparation, and healthy habits, they can be incredibly fun and fulfilling.
